Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings


Toss : Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first

After sending to bat by MS Dhoni the Mumbai Indians batsmen were not looking comfortable at all. Quinton De Kock, Rohit Sharma, and Yuvraj Singh made an early exit. Suryakumar Yadav and Krunal Pandya, however, looking very positive despite losing their top order they both remain cool and calm. They scored 59 and 42 respectively. Then it was power-hitting show by Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard. Hardik Pandya scored 25 runs off 8 balls with 3 sixes and 1 four, whereas Kieron Pollard scored 17 off 7. Despite a poor start, Mumbai Indians managed to score 170 runs in their 20 overs in the end.

In reply to MI 170, CSK batsmen were disappointed throughout the innings. Ambati Rayudu out on the first ball, Shane Watson also made an early exit on 5. Suresh Raina scored 16 runs off 15 balls, Whereas Kedar Jadhav scored fighting 58 tuns off 54 balls. 3 of their fire guns MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and Dwayne Bravo failed to score runs and they ended up with only 133 runs in 20 overs by the lost of 8 wickets. Jason Behendroff, Lasith Malinga and Hardik Pandya were very economical for MI. They took 2,3 and 3 wickets respectively.

Result: Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings by 37 runs.
