World Cup 2018 Qualifiers
World Cup 2018 Qualifiers ICC mega event is going to be held in 2019, and ten teams would be participating in this mega event ICC ODI World Cup. Top eight teams already qualified on the basis of their ranking. Rest of the two teams included by playing qualifying round.
In ICC World Cup Qualifying Round, Ten teams took part and ICC management divided them in two pools.
- West Indies
- United Arab Emirates
- Papua New Guinea
So let’s do short analysis on each team:
West Indies cricket-team is very well known for their aggression and attacking approach, West Indies is the only team in the world that win back to back ODI World Cups in 1975 and 1979. West Indies was the strongest team in early 90’s. And now it also qualified for 2019 World Cup.
Ireland cricket-team is currently on 12th position In ICC ODI Ranking, They are in learning phase and trying to improve their game, they haven’t any ICC title yet. But they have Test Status but failed to qualify for World Cup 2019.
United Arab Emirates:
United Arab Emirates National Cricket-Team is one of the emerging team in past 3 to 4 years, and now they have also T20 status. Yet not able to qualified for the ICC World Cup 2019.
Netherlands national Cricket-Team have taken part in all ICC World Cup Qualifier. And Qualified four times in 1996, 2003, 2007 and 2011. But this time they failed to qualify for the World Cup 2019.
Papua New Guinea:
Papua New Guinea Cricket-Team is the strongest team in ICC East Asia-Pacific region and won many ICC tournaments but now they lost their ICC ODI and ICC T20 status after losing a playoff match against Nepal. Also haven’t qualified for World Cup 2019.
